Something’s Brewing on the MV Princess of Acadia!
New Rising Tide Café to feature Starbucks Coffee

Monday, June 12, 2007

Saint John- Starting June 5th, the Digby-Saint John “MV Princess of Acadia” will begin offering its guests the chance to experience Starbucks coffee during their trip.  The ship’s new onboard café will be brewing Starbucks drip coffee and serving handcrafted espresso beverages, including lattes and cappuccinos. It will also offer tempting treats such as biscotti, muffins and other baked goods.

Located on the recently-refurbished upper deck of the Princess of Acadia, the Rising Tide Café has been designed to offer a relaxed, trendy atmosphere to guests. Those seeking a quiet break will also be able to browse through a small onboard reading library to pass the time.

“As you can see, we’re committed to adding valuable guest experiences on our vessels”, says Mark MacDonald, President and CEO of Bay Ferries/Northumberland Ferries. “The opportunity to kick back with coffee from a familiar, quality brand and a book in hand will be yet another service offered by Bay Ferries. We’re very much intent on meeting the needs and addressing the interests of our varied guests, to enhance their overall experience with us,” says MacDonald.

In addition to now offering Starbucks coffee to their travelers, Bay Ferries also recently announced a partnership with the New Brunswick Museum. This partnership will see museum staff animators interacting with Princess of Acadia guests and conducting onboard Bay of Fundy interpretative presentations this summer.
